Lift up your ‘twins’ – the right way

Bras.

So many choices, so many types, so many designs, so many functions.

Meant to be worn as innerwear and out of sight, bras are now acceptable worn as outerwear as well – team the sexy lace bustier with a jacket – and wallah! You’ll shine in the boardroom – just remember NOT to take off the jacket!

Just give a little bit of ‘peek’ of your twin peaks 🙂

Worry of not being too “well-endowed” on the front? Fret not, as there’s this invention called the “Plunge Bra” which will help you in that department. Its’ deep plunging “U” (or “V) shape provides the ultimate comfort and support, while giving you the extra, extra ooommppph that you need to have fuller-looking busts 🙂

Go deep 🙂

Dare to go daring and bold by donning that low cut tops or dresses? Then the plunge bra or half-cup bra are perfect for the outfit!

While bras are great to keep your “assets” in check, there are things that you need to bear in mind before buying them. As we were recently ‘educated’ on the importance of wearing the right bra, here are some bits that we’ve managed to jot down, and thought we’d share them with you:

  • Size does matter
It’s easy to just estimate how big (or small) your breasts by looking at them, or do the ‘cupping’ on your own – that is to put your palms onto them and simply said “they are these big”  (spreading out the palm of your hands) to the sales assistant.
Or just size up the bras on display against your palms. An absolute no-no!
Before going bra-shopping, either use the measuring tape to get your size OR ask the shop assistant to help you out. They are trained to do so.

  • It’s all about the time (of the month)
A few days before your period, or even while having it, your body (especially your breasts) will be going through some hormonal changes. As the breasts will be bigger than usual – hence that ‘swollen’ feeling – avoid buying bras during the time.
  • Always, always try them on
You see the design and colour that you like, and since you’re so pressed for time, it’s tempted to just go ahead and buy the bra. Take note – NO! Not all bras are the same; they could be the same size, but due to differences in the cutting style, fabric, brand etc, the fit might be different.
Put them on and see if they are perfect for you.

At the end of the day, give your breasts and body a breather by slipping into a…err..slip (that’s a nightgown or nightie).

Sleep with no bras on, as like all of us, they need to have a break too.

As the GP sales are still on – let’s do some bra shopping, shall we?

Let’s Battle It Out!

Are you ready to be ‘terminated’ by laser?

Sounds kinda extreme and dire, doesn’t it? But that’s exactly what you can expect at Galactic Laser, where you can have an awesome Battle Parties with friends, families and colleagues.

Are you ready to take the next steps?
Are you ready to take the next steps?

With a minimum of 15 up to 200 people for corporate groups, birthdays and families, Galactic Laser offers real-time scoring by keeping up-to-the-second ranking for each individual during gameplay.

Even though we are great friends, the temptation to ‘hunt’ or even ‘gun down’ each other was just too tempting, so we decided to give Galactic Laser a go – a perfect excuse to ‘temporarily disabling’ that particular one who’s been annoying us all these while.

Yes, the ‘enemies’ will be ‘disposed of’ momentarily – meaning they won’t be able to shoot at anyone, as their laser power will be at the ‘down-time’. But you could still hunt them down and keep shooting at them – that’s the beauty of the game!

Don't hold back!
Don’t hold back!

The 5,500 square feet arena is more than large enough for the fast action laser tag, while you imagine yourself as an extra in a sci-fi movie, perfect with customized lighting, interactive devices and a adrenaline-thumping soundtrack to boot.

When we visited the outlet recently, Galactic Laser was holding its Annual Armageddon Tournament, and the Gladiator mode was selected through consensus from the Galactic Laser Facebook poll.

Make your own way through the barriers.
Make your own way through the barriers.

Trust us, the Gladiator mode is one of the most challenging game modes which require speed, strategic planning and execution to ensure that minimal lives are lost during gameplay. Due to the high quality of the participants, the level during the Armageddon tournament was set to Level 6 (the highest) to bring out the best tactical gameplay for the tournament.

Young and energetic, the 8 teams of 5 people each combated against one another for the chance to win prizes  worth RM 10,000, sponsored by Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Sunway Pyramid Ice, Coca-Cola and Mr. Brian Lee.

The final battle was fought between Killer Penguins and STS  – and boy, we were biting our nails, rooting for our favourite team, as they were both equally ‘terer’ (that’s the local term for ‘champion’) .

Awesome win guys!
Awesome win guys!

But there could only be one winner, and after a  hard battle fought, the Killer Penguins emerged as the victors and proudly walked away with the coveted Gladiator title…wohoo!!

Well, there's always next year!
Well, there’s always next year!

Oopppss..before the next round of the laser tag starts, remind yourself to NEVER wear white if you want to have a go at the game…

Why, you may ask?

It makes you the prefect target, as WHITE glows in the DARK!

Datuk Seri Michelle Yeoh was in Sunway Pyramid

On 19 October, we saw lots and lots of people at the Anlene Roadshow and we wondered what was going on, so we waited to see what was going to happen…

Guess who we saw…

Ohhhhh, it’s Datuk Seri Michelle Yeoh!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Image Apparently, she was going to launch the Anlene Roadshow to kickstart the 3-day awareness campaign, basically to tell the public the Malaysian women are not consuming enough calcium and are at high risk of suffering from osteoporosis later in life.

The emcee was introducing the event and the speakers of the day.

Here is David Ross, managing director of Fonterra Brands (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, giving a speech.

“Anlene has long been committed to helping raise awareness about bone health. This event on World Osteoporosis Day is another step in creating greater awareness on the risk of Osteoporosis as well as the importance of a balanced diet and exercise in maintaining strong and healthy bones.”

“We introduced our Bone Health Checks in 2006 and since then have helped more than 600,000 Malaysians understand more about their own bone health. We are proud to be able to continue this work to help educate Malaysian communities at our ‘Drink to Your Bones’ event over the next 3 days.”

Image

A very enlightening speech from leading orthopedic and trauma consultant, Dr. Chin Chee Howe

“The lifestyle of many Malaysian men and women puts them at risk of developing Osteoporosis – a disease that deteriorates bones making them weaker and fragile and easily fractures. Malaysians must change their lifestyle by eating a daily balanced diet with plenty of calcium-rich foods and having regular exercise to improve their bone health.”

Image

Joanne Todd, Innovation Manager of Fonterra Brands New Zealand tells us why Osteoporosis is a cause for concern in Malaysia

“The current calcium intake in the Malaysian diet is 300 – 500 mg per day which is far below the recommended daily intake of between 1,000 to 1,200 mg per day. This suggests that later in their lives, many Malaysian women will be at risk of developing poor bone health and may suffer from bone-related disease such as osteoporosis,” said Todd.

“High-calcium milk are an excellent source of Calcium: ‘Anlene ™ a revolutionary formulation for adults’ optimal bone health, is fortified with Calcium to work in synergy with other ingredients, such as Vitamin D, Magnesium and Zinc , to be effectively absorbed and utilised to help build strong bones.”

All the VIPs back to their seats

Datuk Seri Datuk Michelle Yeoh telling us about how she became an Anlene ambassador

“Bone health is something very close to my heart. Many Asian women like myself are the backbone of our families. Hence, it is vital that we protect our bones so that we can continue to be the pillar of strength for our families. This is why I ensure I take sufficient calcium to get my daily requirements of bone nutrients,” said Datuk Seri Michelle Yeoh.
